A Basic Study on Heating and Air Circulation systems of Mongolian traditional house

    Abstract

    Abstract Combining art, traditional hand-making and national symbolism of Mongolia, traditional house “Ger” is a habitual accommodation in which the Mongolian nomads have been living. It is also made from pure natural resources and comfortable for living. It has a unique architectural design including structure of half sphere form and round floor. The ger has several features including illumination, heating and air circulation, disassembling and assembling, transporting and few other protections from wind or earthquake. The aim of this study is to introduce Mongolian traditional nomadic house-Ger’s features and to analyze natural heating system and self air circulation system of Mongolian housing by using SWOT analyze.
